Shoes were collected (originally by bicycle, then by van), repaired on-site at Crabtree Lane
and returned to their owners. Quality repairs are still carried out today in the original premises. The
grandson, Thomas Casselden and his lovely wife Jennifer now run this family
business, and added to the services on offer with 2 busy retail outlets
in Bookham and Dorking, both offering the same high standard of personal
service which has marked the firm from its early days. In 2009 they made
the difficult decision to close the Dorking shop but continue to welcome
customers at Bookham.
Casselden's Shoes stock an exceptionally wide range of quality mens, ladies and childrens footwear by top manufacturers such as Elmdale, Loake, K Shoes, Equity, Rohde, Van Dal, Hotter, Josef Seibel and Padders.
We offer a wide range of comfortable and stylish broader fitting shoes and can take special orders too.
The shop also stocks an excellent choice of accessory equipment such as cleaning materials, polishes, shoe horns, as well as a selection of ladies handbags, school shoe bags and inner soles.
Other items stocked all year round include Plimsolls, trainers, workshoes, Wellingtons, summer sandals and comfortable and stylish slippers in all sizes.
